Come watch this intimate documentary, followed by a Q&A with director Melanie Chait.
Dance Me to the End of Time is a documentary by Dr. Melanie Chait that follows the last four years of life of her life partner, the feminist theatre director Nancy Diuguid, as she battles breast cancer.

Dance Me to the End of Time weaves their loving relationship and Nancy’s personal development with the legacy and political impact of environmental pioneer Rachel Carson, whose groundbreaking work exposed the long-term dangers of pesticides. This tender yet confronting story explores the intersections of illness, environment, and activism, while celebrating Nancy’s lifelong commitment to justice, queer identity, and the transformative power of creating art together.
Dance Me to the End of Time premiered at the Encounters South African International Documentary Festival and has since been screened at international festivals worldwide. The film received critical acclaim, winning awards including Best Film and Best Documentary at Cinema Systers, Best Feature Documentary at the Toronto International Women’s Film Festival, and Best Editing at the Women in Film Festival Zurich.
After the film, Melanie will join a conversation with Mady Beversluis, the initiator of this program. Naturally, there will also be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions.
This program will be conducted in English.
